The iNARTE Electrostatic Discharge Control (ESD) Certification Program is appropriate for engineers and technicians whose training and experience have primarily focused on problems, engineering design and corrective measures associated with minimizing or eliminating electrostatic discharge.

Electrostatic Discharge positions held:

  • ESD Test Engineer

  • ESD Control Design Engineer/technician

  • ESD Control Test Engineer/Technician

  • ESD Control Engineer/Technician

  • Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Engineer (collateral duty)

  • Compliance Engineer (collateral duty)

iNARTE certified ESDC Engineers and Technicians work on advanced technology, production and control systems and components in industries that include consumer manufacturing, automotive, aerospace and military applications.

The iNARTE ESD certification program is administered by Exemplar Global iNARTE in concert with the ESD Association. Early in 1994, the Electrostatic Discharge Control (ESD) Association teamed with NARTE to implement and administer ESD certification for engineers and technicians.

The purpose of the ESD Credential Certification Program is to foster technical “excellence” in ESD engineering. This approach establishes technical competency criteria for ESD and enforces these criteria for technical personnel. The program benefits the individual engineer, the technician and the ESD community as a whole by establishing a standard of excellence in ESD engineering that will endure and extend across the boundaries of private and government agencies.
